April 2003 Newsletter

May Trail Clearings:
May is the month for Spring trail clearing. Join the crew in Marlborough on Saturday, May 3, 2003 and in Maynard on Saturday, May 10, 2003. We start at 9AM and work until noon, then enjoy pizza and soft drinks for lunch on the trail. Advance signup is optional but helpful.

Wear sturdy clothes and work gloves. The trail is still damp in Marlborough but dry in Maynard. Useful handtools to bring are rakes, loppers, shears, bow saws, etc. We will be cutting and dragging brush and a few small trees into piles for chipping and disposal. There is an opportunity for some chainsaw work too.
